I am a big fan of webinars as the latest and greatest way to receive information. My wife and I recently joined a network marketing company after checking out a few webinars. In retrospect I believe it was in fact the webinar that got us over the line in reaching our decision to join.

So what is a "webinar" I hear you ask? A webinar is a presentation e.g. in PowerPoint format that is broadcast over the internet where people can register and join in on their computers via the internet and view it at a scheduled time. Participants can interact with the presenter and ask questions. If they miss the live version the webinar can then be converted into a video file so it can be played back at a convenient time.

So what is so great about a webinar when it comes to checking out a network marketing or MLM business opportunity? Lets first check out the webinar's predecessors.

The Home Meeting: I can remember having attended meetings in order to check out MLM opportunities back in the early 90's. I don't believe that this model for delivering information to prospects would work so well today. Lets face it we are all so much busier today trying to earn enough money to pay for our expensive lifestyles, few have the time or energy to attend a meeting in someone else's home.

The Teleseminar: I have been on a few of these. The up side is that you can be in the comfort of your home when you join the call. It may not necessarily be local call cost especially if you are calling from a mobile phone. But at the end of the day it's just a phone call so there is no written or visual information to see. Many of us learn best from receiving visual input.

Now its 2010, enter the Webinar: A webinar is the best way I know of getting your message in a presentation format to the masses. Let's look at some of the benefits.

1) Its online so people can join in from the comfort and safety of their own homes.

2) Nearly everyone has access. With a predicted 2 billion of us being on-line by the end of the year, a webinar can certainly reach the masses.

3) A webinar is visual AND auditory. You not only see the presenter's slides (generally done in PowerPoint) but you also get to hear their voice as the commentary via your speakers or headphones.

4) A webinar is interactive. If you are on a live Dubli webinar you can ask the presenter a question. You do this by either clicking on the raise your hand icon and the presenter un-mutes you or by typing a question into the box provided.

5) A picture is worth a thousand words. Diagrams, graphs, photos, cartoons, videos can all be incorporated into a webinar. This can be a huge help when explaining something as detailed as the Dubli compensation plan.

6) One person does the work but many Business Associates (BA's) get the benefit. I am a member of Declan Barnett's team (the fastest growing team in Australia) and Declan and Laura put on regular webinars each week. All the BA's can invite guests to join the webinar and Declan tells them at the end of the webinar to get back onto the person that invited them to the webinar.

7) A webinar can be a great training tool. Declan and Laura also put on a training webinar each Saturday morning for existing BA's to learn what the latest developments within the Dubli network are.

So as you can see a webinar is a must have tool for demonstrating to your prospects the benefits of your network marketing or MLM business opportunity.
